HOBAS Energy Management | ISO 50001

The ISO 50001 energy management standard provides an internationally recognized structure for maintaining and improving energy performance. Using energy efficiently helps conserve resources, reduce costs, and address climate change issues.

HOBAS has been successfully certified to DIN EN ISO 50001 in November 2014. ISO 50001 is fully integrated with already existing management systems at HOBAS, such as ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety).

The benefits of ISO 50001 include, for example, improved energy efficiency and energy savings, compliance to regulations as well as alignment with HOBAS Corporate Sustainability Goals.

Victor Vladimirov, environmental and energy expert of the HOBAS Group, is proud to see HOBAS certified to ISO 50001: “Energy Management is yet another dimension of our commitment to sustainability. This certification is a valuable example of our company moving forward and providing solutions to challenging topics such as energy efficiency and the conservation of resources. Important investments have been made within the HOBAS Group for upgrades in technology and equipment, including the use of renewable energy.

These steps have been realized with great support and acknowledgement of people inside and outside of the organization. We are therefore equally grateful to our employees and partners for their contribution, commitment and success.”
