OHSAS 18001 ensures highest safety and optimum health protection for HOBAS Employees
Within the HOBAS Group, we follow the international standard OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) 18001, which defines the organization and structure of a safety and occupational health management system. OHSAS 18001 provides a comprehensive system to improve planning, implementing and monitoring the legally required work safety measures in order to sustainably reduce accident risks. In combination with ISO 9001 and 14001, OHSAS 18001 provides HOBAS with an extensive and standardized management system in the areas safety, quality and environment.
Within the scope of the OHSAS 18001 certification, potential safety hazards are systematically identified and minimized. Among other things, each HOBAS Plant creates a manual, conducts a risk analysis and appoints a safety administrator.
At the beginning of the year 2013, HOBAS Germany was certified to OHSAS 18001 by TÜV SÜD. In July 2013, the HOBAS Factories in Romania and Poland also achieved the certification. “It is important to us to prevent accidents and to offer our employees sustainable health protection”, says Victor Vladimirov, expert for energy, environment and safety issues of the HOBAS Group. “As an international company it is our responsibility to meet high industrial standards. Thanks to the OHSAS 18001 certification we can provide our customers with even better service.“
