Coupling Winding Machine
UNIVERSAL, SIMPLE, COMPUTERIZED
The universal HOBAS Coupling Winding Machine produces couplings (FWC) in the diameter range of DN 150 to 2700 and various pressure classes. Easy-to-operate, it consists of a rubber preheating station and two computerized processing units. In the preheating station the rubber gaskets are warmed up, while the processing units feed the raw materials to the rotating mold.
After heating, a prefabricated EPDM gasket is placed on the steel mold and then glass roving pre-saturated in polyester resin is wound round it layer by layer. At the same time exact volumes of cut roving are sprinkled onto the continuous strands to reinforce the coupling in the axial direction. Finally, the winding process is completed with cover tape.
