HOBAS CC-GRP Pipes for Sewer

The fact that HOBAS CC-GRP Pipe Systems are resistant to virtually any aggressive substance flowing through them or attacking them from the outside is due mainly to the polyester resins used. These fully encase the two other components so that only the resin comes into contact with the aggressive media.

In order to be able to report on the chemical resistance of pipes under bending load, the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) introduced the so-called Strain Corrosion Test. Pipe sections are filled with a solution of sulfuric acid and at the same time subjected to constant deflection. The time until the pipe ruptures is measured. Since start of HOBAS production, HOBAS CC-GRP Pipe Systems have been doing extremely well in those tests.
