After a weir had been relocated, an existing HOBAS pressure pipeline had to be extended to maintain the system's integrity. The new pressure pipeline was laid along the bank, partly behind the stone protection. Here the native soil consisted of gravel with rock in places. Due to the lack of cover, however the pipes had to be encased in concrete in some sections. In the trench the pipes were embedded in gravel up to 20 cm above the crown.
The extreme smoothness of HOBAS CC-GRP Pressure Pipe Systems guarantees low friction losses. Another advantage was the absolute water tightness of the entire system. The light weight is also beneficial, especially when laying in difficult terrain. Even at low temperatures and in bad weather, HOBAS CC-GRP Pipe Systems can be installed without any trouble.
