Ever since the first pipes have been produced at the beginning of the 1960s HOBAS Engineers have been consistently dealing with the further development of material and plant technology. Decades of experience combined with the latest scientific findings provide maximum expertise in research and development.

A new research and technology center, the so-called HOBAS TechCenter, has been opened April 2010 in Wietersdorf, Austria. This test laboratory for plastics is certified by the TÜV SÜD to the standards DIN EN ISO/IEC 1025:2005, ISO 9001 as well as 14001 and is equipped with state of the art testing equipment. All long- and short-term tests meeting the latest available GRP pipe technology as well as self-developed tests can be conducted here. The possibility to do comprehensive tests on large product units in particular characterizes this facility.
